Rush Pamphlet Spring 2002

The brothers of Theta Omega Phi, the Order of Prometheus, welcome you to the Spring '99 semester. We hope that your interest in our brotherhood will be provided with the opportunity to attend many of the activities planned by our organization this semester. Greek life is a very prominent aspect of the college learning experience. Nearly everyone is touched by it in some way, whether they choose to participate actively or to merely attend parties. However, there is a responsibility associated with it that Theta Omega Phi refuses to lose sight of.

Service- Prometheus participates in numerous service projects and events, sponsoring organizations such as Hospice, Red Cross, Toys for Tots, Save the Children, Adopt a Highway, and other charitable organizations. Annual events include the blood drive, "pie in the face", park clean-ups, brothers' auction, and many others.

Academic- For 11 out of the 13 years since its conception, Theta Omega Phi has held the Intra-Fraternity Council award for the highest GPA of any house. We realize that academics are an essential component of college life, and we strive for excellence!

Social- Prometheus participates in many social activities, including functions with other sororities and fraternities, as well as internally within our own brotherhood. Whether it be the annual Super Bowl party, or the annual Christmas party, the brotherhood offers a unique way of relieving the stresses of college life. Each Spring, we also participate in the Ice Carnival and sponsor a semi-formal.

Along with the spirit of true brotherhood, the Order of Prometheus DOES NOT HAZE. It seems ludicrous to believe that an atmosphere of abuse and humiliation can foster a feeling of brotherhood. We adhere strictly to a no-hazing policy and encourage individuality amongst our brotherhood.

We are a group of men who have pledged to uphold the ideals of the Greek Titan, Prometheus, who defied the Gods of Olympus to bring fire to mankind. Our fraternal experience will aid you in the future, while fostering strong ties with lifelong friends, it provides a learning experience in human nature and prepares you for the inevitable college conclusion, the "real world". Our colors are blue and gold and should you have any questions, please feel free to stop any one of us and ask. Theta Omega Phi has a lot to offer.

Feel free to attend our "Smoker" (informational meeting), time and place, TBA in the Forum of the Barrington Student Union on the S.U.N.Y. Potsdam campus.

Make your Mark in Spring '02 !!!!
